Data analyst

At EQOM, you will work with data in a way that truly adds value to the business. You will be the point of contact for the teams and help them make better decisions based on data. Whether it's building dashboards, performing analyses, or intelligently modeling data at scale, you will ensure that insights are directly applicable to your colleagues' daily work.  

Structuring, automating processes, and communicating clearly are second nature to you. You coach colleagues and work closely with teams such as e-commerce, marketing, logistics, finance, sales, and purchasing; both B2B and B2C. 

Examples of projects you will work on:  
· Funnel analyses based on event data  
· Product recommendations for specific customers  
· Reducing customer queries through data-driven insights  
· Inventory optimization and operational analyses  

Our modern tech stack: 
· Databricks on Azure 
· dbt for data modeling 
· Snowplow 
· Power BI (or other BI/visualization tools) 

You will be part of our international Data team, consisting of data & web analysts, analytics engineers, and data engineers. 

You sense what the business needs and know how to ask questions to get to the heart of the matter. You translate complex data into simple, practical insights that deliver immediate value. You also communicate insights clearly to colleagues without a technical background, in a way that suits their role and field of expertise. In this way, you ensure that your dashboard, report, or data product is of great value to the internal user and thus to our success as a company.  

You have a commercial mindset and understand how marketing, e-commerce, or logistics work. The solutions you create are reusable and fit the needs of the business, whether it's a report, analysis, or data model. You know how to build a comprehensive SQL query and understand it from start to finish.  

You are a pleasant person to talk to: open, honest, and always focused on the common goal. Your communication style is clear and adaptive, taking into account different styles or cultural backgrounds.

We think this position will suit you best if you bring...

· Bachelor education level 
· At least 4 years of experience as a data analyst 
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
· Experience in a commercial environment with speed and focus on results 
· Strong knowledge of and experience with SQL  
· You are familiar with building/structuring/transforming data 
· Experience with PowerBI (or similar) for building dashboards 
· Experience with Python, dbt, and/or Databricks is an advantage 
· Able to patiently convert a vague question into concrete products 

Good to know:  
Our Data Team is spread across our offices in Veendam and Hilversum. Sometimes traveling to the other location is necessary.
