What will you be doing

As a back-end developer, you will join a team of 20 employees divided into 3 teams: 2 Scrum teams (IT Development) and IT Operations team (Infrastructure and service desk) and work for the EQOM Shared Service Center in the IT Development department. Our Shared Service Centre serves the IT needs of all companies under the EQOM umbrella. The IT Development department is responsible for both maintenance and new development of all in-house developed software.

 

As a back-end developer, you play an important role in the development of our online web shops. Your tasks include the seamless implementation of new designs and modifications, where functionality and user interaction are paramount. Close cooperation with front-end developers, marketers and product owners will be an integral part of your work. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that our customers enjoy the best possible digital user experience. Join us and shape the future of digital excellence! Your core tasks:

  • Developing and revamping our webshops;
  • Translating a design concept into an actual webshop;
  • Independently detecting and solving problems in the various webshops.

What do we ask

  • You have knowledge and experience at HBO level;
  • Demonstrable experience with PHP and SQL;
  • Knowledge of both plain PHP and PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony;
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript is a plus;
  • Demonstrable experience with agile working;
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence;
  • Strong affinity for e-commerce platforms;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.
